1️⃣Question: How much time is spent feeding my baby? 2️⃣Hypothesis: It must be like 90% of the day, this girl eats all the time! 3️⃣Experiment: Time all feedings for 24 hours. 4️⃣Analysis: 4.65 hours spent feeding over 20 sessions. 19% of the day spent feeding. Average of 14 minutes per feeding. 5️⃣Conclusion: Babies spend a lot of time eating! Parents spend a lot of time feeding them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ➡️As a parent 🤱🏼 (where is the Dad & Baby emoji?) just fit in what you can when you can and learn to break up tasks into shorter segments ⏲ ➡️Your main job is to keep the tiny human alive and well, so don’t get discouraged if all those to-do tasks don’t get done! ➡️Start the day prioritizing the task that is most important to you to complete (other than the aforementioned keeping tiny human alive and well). For example, lately my top priority has been to take a shower every day. This usually means the house isn’t as tidy as it could be, or I don’t get as much computer work done, but it’s a fair trade off and I’m sure my husband would agree. 🚿👱🏼‍♀️ . #babyeating #thatsaweirdhashtag #breastfeeding #bottlefeeding

CHANGE➰happens through movement and movement heals. Joseph Pilates . Two years ago, almost to the day, I had an injury to my right knee while on skis 🎿 . I tore my ACL and MCL. Thankfully no surgery was needed, with proper rehabilitative care. 🙏🏼 At that time, I knew intuitively I needed to change the way I was moving. #marathons 🏃🏻‍♀️ and #kickboxing 🥊, perhaps, weren’t being kind to my knees. 😫 Thankful to my #pilates practice, I was able to be my own #therapist and heal my injury. In lieu of this slow and patient recovery, I have created a tag #pilateshappyknees where I will share valuable info and tips from my healing process and include some key, intelligent #movers and body healers, who I respect in their work. A modification for clients not yet ready for Russian splits. We know it’s scary to lift the torso/hands always from shoulder blocks in the full expression of the exercise...so this is a great way to work on being comfortable lifted, facing back, with kicks. The feet being on the same plane (as opposed to the back foot being higher with the bar up) and in a more narrow stance on the carriage provides a more stable base to work from. Back foot on the wood platform or lowered bar, forward foot in the middle of the carriage. This way, when in the full expression, it’s not a foreign feeling being upright! . . #russiansplits #modification #mindful #teaching #pilatesinstructor #passion #playtime
