#Repost @nasa (@get_repost) ・・・ An #office with a view…this video, captured by NASA astronaut #RandyBresnik, shows off the spectacular view during a recent spacewalk. He posted the footage on social media saying: “Sometimes on a spacewalk, you just have to take a moment to enjoy the #beauty of our planet Earth. This @gopro #footage is from our spacewalk where #JoeAcaba and I refurbished the #Canadarm2 #robotic arm and the #Dextre robotic arm extension.” Currently, six humans are living and working on the #InternationalSpaceStation (@iss), which #orbits our #planet at 17,500 mph. Located 250 miles above Earth, the crew conducts important #science and research that will help send us deeper into the #solarsystem than ever before. . . . . . This. Is. Awesome. Okay so first you have the #CanadArm silhouetted against a bright sky of beautiful stars. Then you have the Dragon capsule (by @spacex) during reentry in Earth's atmosphere below and to the left. Finally there's Earth's airglow: a faint light emitted by our atmosphere, caused by ionized atoms recombining. Incredible pic taken from the @iss by @nasa astronaut Jack Fischer #Repost @iss ・・・ NASA astronaut Jack Fischer photographed the SpaceX Dragon capsule as it reentered Earth's atmosphere (bright streak at lower left) before splashing down in the Pacific Ocean west of Baja California in July 2017. NASA astronaut Randy Bresnik managed to capture this image of Orbital ATK's Cygnus cargo ship being released from the International Space Station. The S. S. Gene Cernan was released from the station via the Canadarm2 robotic arm after delivering 7,700 lb's (3,500 kilograms) of cargo in November. It is expected to release 14 minisatellites into orbit prior to burning up within Earth's atmosphere.
