Believe it or not, I do own non-neutral colored clothes 😅 However, I feel a little outside of my comfort zone in these. But no one ever grew inside their comfort zone right? On a side note, building my glutes is one of my main goals for the next 4-5 months. And yesterday's leg day killed me 🔥 So we are off to a good start! If you're trying to build a booty, keep in mind that you should be doing more than one flute focused workout per week AND you should be eating in a caloric surplus to give your body the fuel it needs to grow those muscles. There’s been times in my life where I’ve failed and times where I’ve succeeded.. most everyone has experienced both. • You’d think you’d wish the failures had never happened but honestly those times are what make you stronger and better. • The key to remember when we fail or make mistakes is those moments do not define us.. they really do not. • If we give those moments power to define us, we are allowing them to take our happiness and potential to grow, away. • I haven’t shared this with really anyone because it effected me pretty badly, but I remember a time I was temporarily kicked out of my university. I was going though a busy time of life (marriage), etc, and failed to turn in a major paper into a class, caused me to earn failing grade, which later caused me to be put on probation. • I let this minor “failure” define me... for quite some time. I didn’t want anyone to know and I felt extremely embarrassed. • Then I reminded myself this moment is only going to make me better when I come back, it will give me time to focus on business and I’ll be more focused than ever after this break. I also reminded myself that there’s more to myself than this. I’ve accomplished so much more outside of my academics. • Don’t dwell on what can’t be controlled; so I did just that. • Stressing over things we can not control is not worth it, so don’t waste time and energy • My biggest takeaway from this experience? Failures are learning experiences that make us stronger and better. We weren’t made to be perfect. 🤷🏽‍♀️ next time you “mess up”, pick your head up, evaluate what you can do better and HONESTLY try your best the next time. It’s all we can do! #mhfitness💪

Nobody wants to look weak or less than perfect to people, but sometimes you just are.. I’m not one to share a lot of deep things, but sometimes you struggle. I have been struggling. I admit it. Ever since I lost my dad last year things have been less than perfect for me. My reverse didn’t go as planned. Life got in the way sometimes. My abs are gone. My weight is up. I broke down crying in the middle of my squats because my fucking mirror is bent like a funhouse mirror so I look like chunky midget in it (gonna get a new one to solve that problem lol) I’m still learning to love myself conditionally throughout my fitness journey (aka my life) sometimes so many little things catch up to you and break you down. But the important thing is, you don’t fucking quit. You cry, you get your shit together and then you get back to work. I finished leg day with my 20/22 push-ups. Only shots I’ll be doing while on prep: apple cider vinegar! I drink 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar 🍎(make sure it’s “with mother”) mixed with 2 tbsp of water 💦 reasons why I do this every morning? For the health benefits: helps control blood sugar, feel fuller longer, improve immune function promotes gut health, and fights bad bacteria! It’s no secret my body has forced me to slow my life down SIGNIFICANTLY. I took my “5 minutes” to cry, sulk, and be upset about everything that is going on in my own life as well as my family’s. As we all know, when something i n c o n v e n i e n t happens, it seems like everything happens at once. - I’ll be honest. I’m new to the whole “think positive and positive things will happen.” However, the more i practice and preach it, the more i believe it. So, instead of continuing to dwell on the fact i cannot p h y s i c a l l y work, ain’t gonna stop me! Instead, I’m working on something I’ve always wanted to do but I’ve been to scared to do. • Make y’all some workout programs• - I know. You’re probably like, “here’s another one.” Honestly, the negativity of other people, me feeling as though I’m not capable to do this is what has held me back for so long. But I DONT CARE WHAT YOU THINK ANYMORE. I love training. I love being a personal trainer. I love helping people. Now, life has given me the time to focus on something I’ve wanted to do for so long. I’ve struggle too many years already with my weight and my self esteem and the worse part about it, is that I’ve Missed time with family and friends because of my insecurities. Its taken almost 10 years for me to realise that the only person that can save me and change me, is ME.
